In the beginning, you’ll need to log in to Your MyCSULB Faculty Center. Make sure whether your teaching Schedule is in the correct format. If you want to alter the term, go to the Change Term button.

Then, follow the following steps:

  • Select the class you want to grade by clicking on”grade roster. The grade roster will be displayed. Make sure that the type of Grade Roster will be “Final Grades.”
  • If “Mid-Term Progress” is selected, then you’ll have to change it into “Final Grades” from the dropdown menu.
  • Then, click the “Import Grades” “Import Grades” button to create your grades for finals in BeachBoard for use with this “Import Grades” feature in your mycsulb account. If not, you’ll have to select your final stages in the list below.
  • Choose a final grade for each student using the dropdown menu under the Roster Grade column.
  • If you’re grading an entire group, it’s advised to click the Save button often to ensure that you don’t lose your work.
  • If you give one final score to several students, make sure you check the boxes on each of the students’ names.
  • After you’ve selected the students you want to add, you can choose an option from the dropdown menu beneath your roster and click”Add” or click the “Add this grade to the selected students” button.
  • There are certain conditions for grading to keep in mind, like withdrawals and Incompletes. The students who officially withdrew will be assigned grades of W or WE already given.
  • If the student could not participate in your class but did not withdraw formally, you are allowed to give an Unauthorized Withdrawal, also known as “WU” — grade.
  • When you click “WU,” a new field will open for you to type in the date on which the students last visited. Another reason is Incomplete.
  • Students who cannot finish all the required assignments but have completed at minimum 66% of the course requirements. If they are faced with unexpected, however fully justified reasons for not finishing the work in class might be eligible to earn an Incomplete, also known as an “I” — grade.
  • If you assign an incomplete mark to your student, you’ll need to fill out the Incomplete Form.
  • Pick”I” as the “I” grade in the dropdown menu, then select Save. The new hyperlink that allows you to Add to the Contract will be displayed in the row.
